Acne? Use Niapads - it's Simple for Pimple (c)

Remember – the most effective treatment is one that you can follow regularly. If not, acne will continue to afflict you. Acne is a rite of passage for all teenagers. Internal body changes involving hormones, overactive glands, proliferation of acne bacteria etc. all promote acne in teenagers. But did you know that hormonal changes such as menopause, stopping birth pill medications and other hormonal products can also promote occurrence of acne? Other causes include greasy cosmetics and lotions, hair creams, dry skin creams. In men activities such as shaving, creams etc can promote acne. Sharing some of these products with teenagers or adults afflicted with acne can also cause acne bacteria to spread. Recent studies have shown that acne incidence is on the rise in over 50% of adults. Left untreated, acne spreads and can result in physical scars. Presence of acne leads to lower self confidence, social abstinence and loss of productive career. It is important to understand the type of acne present. There are several treatments available – herbal, OTC, prescription, dermabrasion, light/laser and many more. Always seek professional help in determining the cause of your acne, since each case is unique. Acne prescription medications stop the production of sebum, kill bacteria and other cells indiscriminately. They also cause side-effects and damage other organs such as liver and kidneys. Some prescription drugs are linked to depression, and cause severely dry skin which leads to premature aging/wrinkles. OTC regimens can be cumbersome for most individuals. Multi-step treatments, messy liquids and creams, leave on all day spot treatments are not practical solutions for adults.

Scientists at NY College of Medicine have shown that Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) is more effective than antibiotics such as Clindamycin in treatment of acne. Addtionally there are no side-effects unlike those associated with use of antibiotics. Research also indicates that Niacinamide can reduce skin hyperpigmentation, increase skin moisture and reduce fine wrinkles. Niapads is a single step fix for pimples.
